I had to buy a front load washer, the hassle of reaching into my current washer was just to much for me. This Amana was perfect in the features to the affordable price. I love the sanitize option, during this cold/ flu season why not sanitize the bedding and clothing of everyone in our household. Great peace of mind for me alone!

I have had the washer about 2 months and have probably run about 75-100 loads through it and am happy. I purchased this unit over the Samsung because of made in America. Time will tell!

If your house drain is on the left side if the washer looking from the front then the Amana hose it too short to go from the right side to the left and into the house drain. Yes its on a platform. By the way I have never seen such a cheap plastic hose, the hose should be rubber. I doubt this hard plastic hose has a reliable life span.
