I purchased this 33", freezer on top refrigerator about a month ago. I'll start with what I like about it but the list is short. I like the overall look as it stands. The fingerprint resistant stainless steel really does not show fingerprints. I like the large bins on the inside of the door. The ice maker makes, what I would call, medium size cubes and the bin is just about the right size for our needs. Now for what I don't like. The shelf spacing options are limited and poorly thought out. Because they designed the door to hold a gallon of milk, apparently, they thought no space was needed for other tall items. I was able to move the shelf with the drawer to the middle and the plane glass shelf to the second form the top. This gives me space for tall items on top. Actually, a little more space than needed on top but using the highest option does not give me enough space for tall items. This configuration also does provide as much as I would like under it. Several more options could have easily been molded into the side walls so it could be customized to each family's needs. Secondly, the door does not close on its own if left open more than about 60 degrees. My old one would close even if left open to 90 degrees. Finaly by biggest complaint it the location of the hinge pins. My kitchen is designed to have the refrigerator in the corner with a wall on the right side. It is tight with minimal extra space. The design of the door and the hinge placement means the refrigerator requires extra space to open the door. I had to remove the chair rail molding that ran along the wall just so I could open the door. Simply moving the hinge in further to the outside corner would eliminate the issue. Older refrigerators were all designed this way. Cleary the design engineers are oblivious to the real world. On a final note, the app to leave this review from my phone is completely unusable. I had to use my laptop which is marginally better.

Ordered directly from Maytag. Maytag™™s kept me informed from shipment to delivery to home. Refrigerator arrived with no damage. Below are the notable issues: 1. Finger print free stainless steel looks fantastic. 2. Refrigerator case paint color, best matched the stainless front doors in comparisons to other manufacturers. 3. Door handles were round heavy, giving the older top freezer/ bottom refrigerator a nicer new style look not found in others we looked at. 4. Refrigerator was brightly lit, and freezer is also lit as well which was a new feature we did not have with our old unit. 4. Temperature settings were spot on and required no adjustment 0F freezer, 34F refrigerator. 5. Very nice heavy rollers, very easy to move and adjust level and door closures. I got my refrigerator right before Christmas. And there was a crack in the freezer liner, and I'm waiting to hear back from the technicians. I would like a replacement. We have been loyal Maytag customers for years and owned our previous Maytag refrigerator for over 10 years with zero issues™"until the compressor finally started making a loud humming noise. After weighing repair costs, we decided it made more sense to buy a new Maytag refrigerator, trusting the brand we had relied on for a decade. That decision turned out to be a huge mistake. From the start, this brand-new refrigerator has produced an obnoxious humming paired with an even worse high-pitched squeaking noise every time it runs. This is not a minor background sound™"it is constant, distracting, and impossible to ignore. We scheduled a service call hoping for a solution, only to be told to essentially ™get used to it.™ That was the technician™™s recommendation. No fix. No accountability. The squeaking clearly seems to be coming from the top refrigerator section. The technician even disconnected the water valve because we could ™live without™ the ice maker™"but the noise is still there. So now we have a noisy refrigerator and fewer features than what we paid for. As someone who works from home, this noise is unbearable. A refrigerator should not sound like industrial equipment cycling on and off all day. This experience has completely destroyed our trust in the Maytag brand. This was supposed to be an upgrade. Instead, it™™s been nothing but stress, disappointment, and a waste of hard-earned money. I would strongly caution anyone considering this refrigerator to think twice™"because once it™™s in your kitchen, you may be stuck listening to it every day with no real solution.

The refrigerator's ice maker is slow. I absolutely hate the fact that Maytag did applied a 10 year warranty sticker to the door and no one wants to remove it. In addition since the hand of the door needed to adjusted for our use the poor design of the Maytag sticker left marks on our door. Just lack of thought by Maytag. Finally your customer service shows absolutely no care for your customers. If I knew the Customer service was this bad I would have purchase a different brand. Maytag also applied a phone number for registration that was to the extended warranty company who took all my information and lied to me that the equipment we purchased was registered. When we finally reached Maytag we found it was not registered. I would not recommend this brand any longer.

My 4 year old LG refrigerator Compressor stoppped working on a Monday. I chose Maytag new refrigerator due to referral of man who came to ™repair™ LG. Maytag was his 2nd choice. I like Maytag except for one reason: I bought a freezer on top not thinking of the easy access to freezer bottom (refrigerator) I had before. It™™s hard for me to access some items in refrigerator due to disability but it is working for me!

So far I am not as impressed with new refrigerator as my old one. I loved my old model MayTag. The newer model shelves don™™t work as well. They slide out and fall down as the glass is not wide enough or the slits they slide into are not wide enough to hold them securely. You have to make sure that they are just so or they fail. The temperature regulator when set at ™recommended™ freezes items in refrigerator top shelf but if you lower it to the next level down the shelves below are not cold enough. Also there is really not enough mobility within shelves. Recently to get a 19 pound turkey into thaw I had to completely remove the middle shelf which didn™™t leave me enough space for all the other items. The older model had a 1/2 shelf that that you could put up or down further depending on your needs. I am a huge MayTag fan but I think that the engineering on this model could have been way better. I would not recommend this particular model.

I did read some bad reviews for this model, all of which now seem bogus! The fridge is super quiet, with the only real noise coming from the sound of ice falling into the bucket (good thing). The only minus is there could be more light inside the fridge compartment, but what there is is sufficient.

I bought the exact same refrigerator that I had before, so it would fit the space and I found the shelves the vegetable tray, lunch meat drawer, extremely flimsy very sad to see the quality had gone down to that degree I had read the prior reviews and saw that the drawers were flimsy. I didn™™t realize that when I pulled any drawer out, it would pretty much always come off Out of the track.

We bought the refrigerator back in October. We really like the larger capacity. Also the stainless finish is really easy to clean. The led lights are great. Makes finding things a snap. The thing that I'm very disappointed about is the center drawer falls out of the track when you open it. This is very disturbing and very difficult to get back into the track. Especially if the drawer is filled. I don't know if anything can be done about it. This is very annoying. The operation of the refrigerator is great otherwise.

Fantastic Top Mount Freezer/Refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator in August to replace an LG French Door Refrigerator. We went back to Maytag as we have several other Maytag appliances, one Top Mount Refrigerator, that is over 30 years old and still working like new. We disliked the French Door style. So far this new fridge is awesome. We hav only one issue. IT is with the Large shallow drawer under the top shelf. It wont stay on the rails and can't be pulled out more that 1/3 of the way or it falls off of the guides. We are going to call service to see if this can be corrected. Other than that I highly recommend this fridge, and especially Maytag.

Replacing our 30-yr old Maytag was a disappointment - new ones are all designed with needless changes that worsen rather than improve, e.g., door bins and shelves have open spaces letting products fall through, air circulation is poorly managed regardless of user settings so cold vs hot spots exist that didn't in old model, door is too over-sized making it too heavy and too intrusive into main cabinet so you reach in with difficulty or hit your head on freezer door or its handle and all this despite not being right-sized to fit common bottles, etc., such as gallon milk jugs, and its compressor and fan motors are much louder. 30-yr old model was better at all this- why change? Hopefully new one can last 30 years if we can put up with it that long, which remains to be seen. We can't imagine what engineers were thinking making these poor changes!
