Overall it's a good refrigerator. A couple of things I feel could use improvements are noise, it could be a bit quieter. Also the design of the water and ice dispenser could have been better, sometimes while dispensing ice the glass hits the water button and spills water.

Have had the fridge. For no more than just past 90 days. And the first compressor went out on us. Then after the first repair came out and they replaced the compressor the second compressor then went out on us. Have not received any Fair compensation for this. The only Grace is that this is under warranty. All of my appliances are either whirlpool or Maytag. What happened when those were supposed to be great appliances or trustworthy is beyond me. Now for two and a half months with a family for I've been without a fridge. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of compensation and any sense of urgency by either Maytag or the warranty contractor.

This appliance does NOT measure up to what I expect from Maytag. The compressor went out 3/10/26, and it was replaced under warranty, although this service call was added to the wrong serial number. A little over 90 days later, the refrig stopped cooling and I was given the option of a flat $450 service call, or purchasing an extended warranty for $42/mo for 12 months. Horrible customer service, LONG WAITS on hold trying to get it straightened out.

Easy to use but has problems

The Freeze Soft container falls out of the freezer when someone opens it. Also the Refrigerator door swings when opened and hits side of counter. I do like the way everything is easy to find - but the top portion is too high up for short people.

We have had nothing but trouble with this design. The freezer door has been replaced FOUR times and the ice maker works randomly. The repairmen say that it's a poor design. We want a new fridge but it's too late. Now I am sucked into an extended warranty because it has broken down SO MANY TIMES that we can't afford repair costs. Hopefully accepted into the lawsuit that is being filed against them.

Bad compressor

I bought this refrigerator about 2 years ago and the compressor broke. The warranty had expired but the compressor was still under warranty. I called to inquire as to what i needed to do to get it fixed and to get a live agent is impossible. I started a chat and they sent someone to come look at it. I told the agent that I had already paid someone to come fix it (paid $150 for the diagnostic fee) and they're the ones that told me that the compressor was out. But the agent told me that they had to send someone from their company. The technician came and told me that it was in fact the compressor, I had to pay another diagnostic fee of $160. The quote he gave me to fix was $1580 and that quote did not include the compressor because it was under warranty. Needless to say I will not be fixing my new refrigerator and will not be buying another Magtag. I was soo disappointed not gonna lie I even cried because I just can't believe this brand new refrigerator broke!

So sadly enough to say I would not recommend this refrigerator if you have children due to the fact that the doors if not shut with a lot of force will not close completely. The space is great in respect that you can switch things around and adjust to how you want things the only bad part is that we had no idea how dangerously sharp the plastic shelf is/was to the door. My family member was removing an item from the refrigerator and trying to make sure something didn't drop they moved quickly brushing up against the shelf and it sliced their finger badly , had no idea a plastic shelf could do that.

It™€™s well lit. Seems roomy. Not liking how the outside set up for getting water and ice. When trying to get ice, it™€™s hard to not hit the water button. You have to get the glass really low. I love the idea of a soft serve area in the freezer, but it™€™s a little hard to get the container put into it.

**UPDATE** Maytag did NOT offer to repair my appliance but did offer me a 25% discount on the purchase of another Maytag product!!!! Are they kidding!!!!!! I will NEVER purchase another Maytag product of ANY kind!!! Maytag is a 2 year throw-away product. I only picked 1 star because ZERO STARS was not an option!!!! My unit is only 2 years old and the Ice Maker and Dispenser DO NOT WORK!! Had an repair technician come and he states the hose at the top of the unit continually freezes up, which is why the Ice Maker will not work. Apparently this is a CONTINUING ISSUE and the only way to repair it is to REPLACE THE ENTIRE DOOR AT A COST OF OVER $1,300.00!!!!!! My question is why would I replace the door, only to have the same issue occur in another 2 years???? This is my first Maytag unit and I WILL NOT EVER purchase another Maytag product. Horrible quality and customer satisfaction.

The WORST PRODUCT and service I have ever bought in my life. I bought this product in April/2025. The first delivery NEVER WORKED and was picked up and replaced by another product of the same model. From the month of September he began to break the ice basket. Already without 4 repairs FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. I have had a monthly technician visit because the repair only lasts a month and it comes back with the same problem. Currently I asked to solve the problem once and for all because having a NEW item THAT IS DAMAGED MONTHLY IS INTOLERANT. In addition to the fact that I have to take 2 days of the month to receive the techno in my home to verify and fix the problem. In a period of four months, it has broken down four times. That means it breaks down every month, and they haven't resolved the same problem once and for all. Basically, the cost of parts and technician visits has exceeded the value of the product. I asked for a replacement of the product because the same problem has been constant BUT THEY DECIDED THAT IT DOES NOT PROCEED. The warranty is not clear because it says that it will be repaired or replaced with another but THEY DO NOT SAY HOW MANY TIMES IT WOULD BE CONSIDERED THAT IT IS DAMAGED FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT. The warranty does not work and much less the product because they make the customer stay with a product that does not work since his purchase, they make the customer lose time monthly by having to receive a technician monthly at home and finally they are not clear in the terms of the warranty when the product has to be replaced... Do not buy anything that has to do with this brand or Whilpool.

Junk, Absolute Junk Don't Buy it!!

Bought this refridgerator 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel to replace a 20 year old maytag that was still working perfectly. Saying this thing is junk is an understatement. 3 months in the compressor had to replaced under warranty. Since then it has cooled ok, but everything else about it is junk. Ice maker has been replaced multiple times and still only works when it "wants to". Water dispenser drips down front of fridge every time you use it. Contacted Maytag by phone and got, "sorry not out problem but you can purchase extended warranty for basically the cost of a new fridge." Other reviews of the fridge state similar problems with ice maker and they still won't own up to selling a junk product with any type of solution. Spend your money on any other non-whirpool/maytag brand fridge.

We've had this refrigerator less than a year. It's very disappointing. I've had multiple cans of biscuits just pop in the frig. Ice cubes will just fall out every once in awhile. It seems like it runs a lot. I had always had Whirlpool, and I regret this purchase. Plus the shelves can't be adjusted and you can't even stand a two liter bottle up on the top shelf. The freezer area is small and the divided shelf makes zero sense.

Overall good quality. Low level fan noise, no feet underneath to keep the refrigerator from easily moving. I had to put rubber pads under the front wheels to keep it from moving when the doors were opened or closed. Lunch meat drawer is a little flimsy when the drawer is filled. More usable room inside then older 25 cu ft that I had.

We have been loyal customers of Martin's for over 20 years. In March of 2024 we purchased a Maytag refrigerator that we began using in late April of 2024. About 3 weeks ago the freezer stopped making ice & the unit runs non-stop, but the freezer will not cool. We contacted Martins & they dismissed us to Maytag. After hours upon hours of research & dead-end phone calls to Maytag (& a second attempt with Martin's) we are left with a $1200 fridge that we can't use. I am highly disappointed that we have had zero assistance/support from Martins. I understand it's past the "one-year warranty" but what about standing behind a product that YOU sold us? I'm sad, frustrated and sharing as a buyer beware. We loved supporting a local, family-owned business, but this hits hard. Also, I would give Maytag negative stars if I could for their HORRIBLE customer service.

I am pretty happy with the refrigerator, mostly. The space is well lit and the layout is good for viewing most of the contents. The fridge and freezer keep good temperatures. I purchased it to replace a 25 yo Kenmore, very similar which I liked until it died. Here is what I don't like: the icemaker broke (metal pieces fell apart) 6 weeks after delivery. The refrigerator noise is distinctly unpleasant.

Horrible Ice Dispenser

The refrigerator and freezer is fine, but the ice dispenser is a mess. You cannot fit anything under the dispenser chute and when you manage to find a glass small enough to fit in it, the ice dispenser ends up dripping melted ice cube water into the tray for the next hour. It there was a realistic way to return a refrigerator, I would return it for a refund. Maytag went from the best ice maker in 2010 to the poorest design in 2025.

My experience with the refrigerator is good overall, is kind of noisy, and for some reason the doors start getting corroded in less of a year. The dispenser is start getting difficult to make working, is like some switch is not working right. But the refrigerator work as expected in terms of cold and freezing.

Our Maytag refrigerator was installed 3 weeks ago. It seems to run continuously and does not eliminate the moisture on the freezer side. We have had a service technician look at these issues and thought it was resolved. Will call the service technician again and hopefully these issues will be taken care of. Very disappointed with the performance of this refrigerator. Our old refrigerator served us for well over 20 years.

Everything seems to be OK as far as temperature. The only issue I have had thus far as the icemaker won™€™t produce ice outside of making one batch and no matter what I try to do as far as get the bin to seat right it won™€™t work and I have to call my own Repair Man because I Maytag couldn™€™t supply me with a local repair man from Maytag themselves. So this is just a frustration. I™€™m not sure if it happens to multiple people.

Ice machine took awhile to start working then does not dispense ice from front door. Refrigerator works great very spacious. Freezer section has to be turned all the way up to stay cold. Great fridge just wished it worked like it should.
