Whirlpool did not have any more of the dishwasher in black ice. I had to locate one in Florida and my husband went and got it for me. I love the dishwasher itself but I do wish Whirlpool would let me know when they are discontinuing a product. This dishwasher its self is great and very quiet.

Cleans exceptionally well

This was a huge upgrade from our 1996 dishwasher. It's much quieter, but not as quiet as I thought it would be. ( that's the on.y reason for 4/5) But this thing cleans everything off, no need to pre clean the dishes. We love the utinsel sprayer on the bottom of the top rack. It cleans everything.

Excellent dishwasher

We've had this dishwasher for over a month and are impressed with it's performance. In this time-frame we not only cleaned the almost week old dishes that accumulated after the old dishwasher went out, we also cleaned up after Thanksgiving, which is a huge event at our house feeding about a dozen adults and a half-dozen kids & teens. This machine came through it all like a champ.I should also note that it is much more quiet than the (15 y.o.) Kenmore Elite that it replaced. Only in a very quiet kitchen and house can you hear the water "swishing" in the dishwasher as it cleans. The best cycles may take longer than before but the energy savings and quietness more than make up for an extra hour of cycle time.
