I have only owned this counter depth refrigerator less than two months and Friday night the temperatures were at 43 in the refrigerator and 32 in the freezer. I could not get service over the weekend and am losing all of the contents even though food is packed on ice in coolers. There is no help available from Whirlpool on weekends. Just hope this is not an ongoing problem! Very unsatisfied withoroduct!

The shelves are not flush with the back of the refrigerator. If small Items are placed all the way back they fall down to the next shelf below or tilt. Whirlpool should have caught this design flaw.
The refrigerator has a high pitched noise, thankfully it is infrequent.
Vegetable bins do keep food very fresh.

I am generally very happy with my Whirlpool refrigerator. I have two complaints that are the same as my problems with a Jenn Air that is quite similar in design, neither major. If you close the right-hand door first, when you close the left door, the right one pops open. You need to remember to close the right door again to ensure the refrigerator doors are actually closed. If you close the left door first, no problem.
The tabs you slide to increase or decrease moisture in the vegetable/fruit drawers will slide under the drawer on closing if you aren't careful. They can break if you don't realize what has happened and try to force the drawer closed.

We purchased this refrigerator about 5 months ago and love all the features of the unit. The automatic opening meat drawer kept falling off but the repairman has it fixed. Unfortunately he has not had the same luck with the temperature control. We have to set the refrigerator temperature at 46F just to prevent everything from freezing. After multiple trips and replacing controls, it still hasn't improved at all. Hopefully the next visit will be the cure.

Our old Whirlpool refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling after about 16 years. We were told by the appliance store that it probably had died of old age. So, we decided to purchase an updated French-door style Whirlpool, rather than attempting a repair. We decided to have the professionals install the new unit in order to avoid potential damage to our new hardwood floors. Unfortunately, the floors were gouged by both rollers during installation. While the installers should have been more careful, the rollers on the Whirlpool could have been designed to carry the weight of the refrigerator without damaging hardwood floors. After two weeks of operation, the freezer suddenly began to warm, allowing partial thawing of the compartment, ice formation, and eventually water dripping onto the floors. The freezer regained function, but will be checked for potential problems. It is possible that the freezer compartment door was not closed completely. The freezer door glide action is sloppy, not precise, and could lead to closure problems. Vegetable bins have a similar problem. Finally, shelves do not extend completely to the back of the refrigerator compartment, allowing items to fall over or rattle when doors are closed. Whirlpool R&D should address these mechanical problems for a better quality product.

I needed a counter depth and this one is great for my small kitchen. Love having the water dispenser inside door. Gives front a cleaner, uninterrupted front. Ice is made really quickly. Love my new fridge.

I absolutely LOVE this refrigerator! Everything I wanted and more! The best thing that ever happened in our house was to have our 32 year old refrigerator die . . . Love the lighting; love not having to bend over to look in the fridge; love the clear bins to be able to see what's where; love the large door shelves that can hold larger items; love the freezer with the pull-out rack! We've had it for over two months and I still rave about it! My husband knew it was a hit when he caught me hugging it - never thought I would say appliances make me feel happy but this refrigerator truly does truly make me happy!

So far I am enjoying my new fridge, nice space inside, plenty of options to reorganize. The freezer section is actually smaller than I thought. My first choice was a larger one and this one is smaller but I am adapting to it. Fits nicely in line with my cabinets and countertops. The food seems to last a lot longer than my old one. It is convenient height for reaching in and loading up.

Love this fridge, it looks wonderful in my kitchen and I was really surprised on how much room I have in the upper level. The freezer works wonderful for me but I was able to keep my old fridge and use that for sodas and the freezer area for large items like whole turkeys etc.

We purposely looked for a refrigerator that would be counter depth and that would have a freezer on the bottom. We knew that the size would be smaller than the side by side we were replacing. I'm very pleased with my new refrigerator. It is very quiet when it is running, and I especially like that the temperatures are digitally shown. Having the water filter on the top right side blocks that shelf area, but I have found smaller items to put there. I'm still getting used to opening the left door to fill my glass with water, but it works! Once we downsize and have less freezer items I will try using the ice maker, but at this time I'm storing frozen bake goods in that area. We like our Whirlpool, this is our second Whirlpool refrigerator, and hope it lasts a long time (Just like the previous one we replaced).

I am so pleased with my new counter depth French door refrigerator. The bottom freezer is convenient with an ice maker and plenty of storage. The main refrigerator is bright and easy to see everything stored with plexiglass bins and good door storage.

So far, our fridge/freezer has been great. There is plenty of space for 2 people to shop weekly, and it has a good,sturdy design. I love the super easy and clear temp controls, the bright interior light, and the customizable shelves. The freezer might be a bit small if you typically put a lot in the freezer, but for us it works fine.the only thing that can be a little annoying sometimes, is that you have to open both french doors to pull out the wide bottom drawer, but that's really not a big issue.

I replaced my old amana with this new refrigerator and I especially like the pantry slide out and the spaciousness. I was concern about the height but fortunately my overhead cabinet door was able to clear it. I am only giving it 4 stars because I don't like the sleek modern white finish which is the current trend right now. I have white European cabinets that are more of a satin finished and my old amana matched it perfectly.

We could not be happier with our new Whirlpool refrigerator. We went with a counter depth model with french doors and pull out freezer. The counter depth gives a cleaner look to our kitchen w/o the fridge jutting out next to the pantry on one side and the counter top on the other. We love the easy access both to the food on the shelves and in the pull out freezer. Being able to adjust the height of the shelves to so many different points enables it to accommodate more food than I'd have ever thought possible. The only down side is that we didn't do it a long time ago. We also expect to save money on energy use and that is just an added bonus.

I've only been using this refrigerator for 1 week. I like the bottom freezer, as well as the capacity within the refrigerator itself. I'm just not sure if the freezer will accommodate when I need to put a cookie sheet in it to cool down candy.

This is a counter depth model that is energy star and works well and we like the inside filtered water that stays clean. For French door models this closes tightly with a moving flap on the right side door that keeps the cold in. They did a good job finding the 20 cubic feet in this counter depth model and still keeping it small outside. We've only had it for a month so I would just give 4 stars but if it is durable it will get 5 stars and we expect it will and last a long time.

Have had the refrigerator for about a month. Very happy with the counter depth design. Our kitchen is rather narrow and this feature makes it seem much wider. Still plenty of room for whatever you need inside for a family of 3. Ice maker is a little louder than expected when filling and dumping, but easy to tolerate. Looks Great!

My appliance dealer didn't have this model in stock and so I could not have opened it, seen the inside layout, etc. I needed a counter-depth refrigerator and this seemed like a good buy from the catalogs he had, but if I had been able to actually see it, I would not have bought it. The french doors do not open independently so if you want something from the left side of the refrigerated section you have to open both doors to get it and then you have to close the left door before closing the right door. It's a lot of extra movement and time wasted.

The extra space this counter depth refrigerator gave me in my small kitchen made a huge difference. This was my first French door purchase as well. I like that food is right at eye level. It makes it easier to make good choices. Put the healthy food right in front. The only thing I missed was some freezer space and this may just be an organization matter. I do like the freezer on the bottom. I also really liked this in white. Not every design supports stainless and my country style kitchen really needed white. I have purchased Whirlpool appliances in the past and never had major problems.

I have only had it two weeks. It is quiet, and fits nicely in my space. I do wish the ice maker was a little smaller, thus giving a little more room in the freezer. The set up was wonderful. The delivery man taught me a lot of things. All went well.
