Extremely happy with my new refrigerator. I was a little surprised though that it didn't come with ice cube trays and an ice bucket. Fortunately, I saved the ones that I had from my old fridge.

This fridge was purchased in 2024 and now has completely stopped working. The compressor and accompanying parts need replacement, parts cost $975 and labor would be $399. I don't understand how a trusted and leading brand like Whirlpool is so unreliable. I didn™™t realize that I would be replacing a Whirlpool fridge every 2 years.

We are quite happy with the fridge. Well designed, seems solid.
HOWEVER, after receiving the fridge it took two of us over an hour to get all of the protective plastic film off of the stainless steel doors :(

We just moved into a new house and found ourselves in need of a refrigerator. We checked out the online reviews and selected a Whirlpool model. We are very pleased with the look of the fridge, the flexible layout of the shelves and drawers and the accurate temperature controls. We can finally put big milk and juice containers in the door. We recommend wholeheartedly!

I bought this fridge because I thought Whirlpool was a reliable brand but the compressor broke on it THREE MONTHS after I bought it. We had to throw out all our food and live out of coolers - it costs us hundreds of dollars in lost food.
It broke on a Saturday morning and Whirlpool's service department is closed on the weekends so I didn't even get an appointment for over three days. At least they honoured the one year warranty but now I have no faith the fridge will last more then a few more years,

Water Drain freezes up

Worked OK until pools of water appeared on the top shelf and ice accumulated on the freezer bottom. I was obliged to empty out the fridge and turn it off so the frozen water clogging the drain could melt. It solved the immediate problem but I expect it will happen again. Apparently this is a known problem as there is a YouTube video for this model that helped me address the issue.

I bought this about a month ago now because it would fit in the space. It is a little noisier than I anticipated and the freezer does not seem as cold as my prior freezer on the recommended setting. I do find that there is ample storage room in the freezer although I wish it came with somewhere for ice cube trays that hung on the side.

The appliance works well, but the finishing details leave a lot to be desired. My freezer door pockets arrived broken. I still waiting to see if those can be fixed or replaced. The edges of the doors are jagged. I feel it™™s only a matter of time before someone is cut by the rough edges.

This is the first brand new refrigerator I have ever had. It is also the first refrigerator I have ever had stop working. Just 5 months after purchase I was without a refrigerator for 7 days and lost all my food. Getting assistance was not simple and the technician that showed up had nothing positive to say about the product.

Bought this a month ago and I have some complaints.i do not like the stainless steel finish. Can't keep it clean! Vegetable bins are small and not humidity controlled as advertised. Temperature control is not truly adjustable- you can't make it a "little colder". You can only make it "cold" or "really cold".

I am appalled at the condition of this Fridge as it was installed. It came with scratches which you are replacing the doors. The biggest disappointment is the plastic protection covering. There is no way to remove it completely. How are you supposed to get it out from underneath the handles, rubber seals, etc. even the install couldn™™t remove it. I™™m an elderly disabled person with crippled hands, so I™™m left with the plastic sticking out under handles, etc. if a razor blade is used it™™s going to scratch the surface. I bought all Whirlpool appliances because of the name brand was superior quality I thought. Pleased with dishwasher and microwave. But the refrigerator is cheap and can you imagine plastic sticking out??? I feel you should give me some kind of compensation, since it™™s too late to get refund from Home Depot.

Worse refrigerator I have ever owned. I am 81 years old so have owned a Whirlpool most of my life. Very noisy running, does not keep even temperatures, either freezing food in the frig part while thawing food in the freezer. Cannot keep milk from souring or vegetables from becoming mush in the crisper. Am now looking to replace this refrigerator with another brand, not a Whirlpool.

I bought this less than 2 months ago and it quit working. Whirlpool sent a repairman who said the part needed would take 2 weeks and he has no idea how much more time it would take to get someone out to fix it since he™™s never installed a compressor.

The screws at the bottom of the freezer door do not come out and therefore we cannot install the freezer door handle. I have issued a claim to the extended warranty company but they will not honour this defect.

I BOUGHT THIS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. WITH IN FIRST WEEK ICE MAKER WHOULD NOT WORK CORRECT ACCOUNT OF INSTALLED WRONG. SENT NEW FRIDGE OUT AND REPLACED COMPLETLY. THIS SECOUND ONE HAS A SKEAKY DOOR THAT DRIVES YOU NUTS. REPAIRMAN CAME OUT AND SAID THE FRIDGE INSTALLERS PUT HINGES IN WRONG, HE SWITCHED IT RIGHT AND FRIDGE STILL SKEAKY. I have had this fridge and it is just over 5 years old. I am disappointed as the fridge is freezing the food and 2 service people have been in and unable to diagnose the issue. They quoted me $390/hr to further diagnose. I am purchasing a new fridge, but I very disappointed by the warranty by whirlpool and the workmanship.

Reported the discolouration of the stainless steel since we received the unit. After 2 years the gasket/seal around the fridge is completely lifting off and pools of water are forming inside on the shelves from it.

The actual fridge is great. Big enough for a one person family with lots of inside space. I do have an issue with the outside of the door. Upon my first wiping, it started to discolour with a very apparent stain all across the front. I'm having no luck removing it even with following instructions from customer support. I have yet to verbally contact them and that is my next step. Essentially I would like a new door or the correct instructions on how to remove this very large stained streak.

I bought this new refrigerator about 3 weeks to replaced my older one, which was not very efficient. The new one is probably more efficient, but seems to run more than I would expect. The only other downside for me is that the bottom drawers are not deep enough to store much for fresh vegetables and fruit. Also, because my house is 130 years old and the doors are not as wide as newer homes, we had to take a lot of things (doors and other connecting items) off the unit in order to get it into the house (that's just a note for those with older home and narrow doors)

Not happy with my refrigerator. When I clean the outside of my refrigerator it leaves streaks I tried soap and water and a recommended cleaning product. Still streaks.
Also I have had to call for service to replace the rubber on the inside of my freezer door and refrigerator. It always comes loose. They are supposed to come in a week

The fridge was part of a standard package in a newly built townhouse. Works well, has good amount of storage. Only minor issue is the glass shelves which can slip off the shelf supports as they seem to be too narrow. Used some bits of the Styrofoam packing to fill the gaps. No problem since

I am mostly happy with my fridge. The door seal was loose for the fist week or so, and my food wasn't keeping cold. Once I figured out what the problem was, I was able to press the seal deeper into the groove that holds it, and that seems to have solved the problem.
